Welcoming the FRESHERS!

3rd Of  August, 2014

They have arrived!
A Welcoming Sunday for the "FRESHERS" for 2014-15 at I.D.E.A.S.

Our honorable Principal Sir Abhay Purohit, beloved Prof.Uday Gadkari, H.O.D. Prof.Milind Guzarkar and  Prof.Ketan Kimmatkar and One of our assets from the first batch of IDEAS, Ar.Madhura Kulkarni ...addressed the freshers and their families about the field of architecture and about IDEAS.
And thereby welcomed them to this world that they are very much going to find new, crazy, tiresome and extremely joyous at the same time!!

EXHIBITION

In order to introduce the varied field of works that they'll be required to produce in the coming years,
the best of their seniors' works were displayed in an exhibition at the multipurpose hall..open for parents and students alike, which was much appreciated  :)

Concept S took an initiative by imprinting their colored hands on a wide canvas,....inviting the freshers to come n join them painting the canvas in their hand-prints..hence welcoming them to the family.

And thereby the first successful venture was appreciably pulled off by the Concept S.

We wish the freshers a zealous start to their first year in the world of Architecture and at IDEAS.

Bonne Chance!

SESSION 2014-15 Has commenced!

Hello there! The post examination relief and our short and crisp vacation seemed to have an effect of inertia on this session ! The start of this session turned out to be rather a low affair....our laid back tendencies of the vacations extended and spilled over the first few weeks.

But watching fresh faces visit the campus for new admissions is some kinda fun too!
In the meanwhile, The second years contributed to some action around the second home of ours.

Well, let's not indulge in the intricate details of the action;
We're talking about the workshop organised for the Second Year batch of I.D.E.A.S. , by our own faculty,
Mrs.Aditi Ghadge and Mr.Manoj Bhanuse .

The workshop was conducted on a Saturday, concerned with

STILL LIFE PAINTING in WATER COLOR.

Mr.Swapnil Salankar, a freelance artist from our city, Nagpur , was invited to guide the students regarding
the basic skills of light and shadow effect through the medium of water colors. He demonstrated the effect of three basic tones viz. Light, Mid and dark tones that play vital roles in bringing life to a still composition.

While the participants of the workshop poured out their individual results on their own renditions!

The students making their attempts to capture the composition!

Swapnil Sir demonstrating for the students' reference

THEY MADE US PROUD, YET AGAIN...

We entered into the scenario when education was transforming into business, and hence the principles over which the foundations of this institute were laid, rendered the revival of education in it's real form. The legacy left behind by the first batch of I.D.E.A.S. in 2009 in the form of excellent performance at university level examinations has become a trend for our students and is thus paving the way for our institute's bright future.

We are proud to announce the excellent performance of our fourth year students (2010 - 2015 batch) in the 7th semester of Nagpur University's B. Arch program. Mr. Adwait Limaye
has topped in the university with 83.2%, followed by Ms. Neeruja Gupta
, who secured 79.9%, while Ms. Samiksha Wasade
grabbed the 4th position with 75.1%.

The students of third year (5th semester) also performed well in their examination, and Mr. Ritesh Kumar, Ms. Aishwarya Bhelonde, and Ms. Akansha Kalda have grabbed the first, second and third positions respectively among the third year students at I.D.E.A.S.

We congratulate our star students, and hope that this trend never last.

WE CAME, WE SAW, AND REST WILL BE OUR HISTORY...

The fourth academic year in the life of a student pursuing architecture, marks the widening of horizons in terms of his / her architectural lexicon, since the scale of problems are converted into macro - level with  varying complexity. The introduction of subjects like URBAN DESIGN, are a major reason for refinement of vocabulary of budding architects.

The fourth year students of I.D.E.A.S., Nagpur, visited the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh in the month of September 2013 to study, analyse and draw out conclusions based on certain predefined parameters about the old city core of Indore, which helped them realize the dynamics and city growth patterns and much more. The overall extract of this studio would come up in the form of an architectural intervention in the precinct of the study area, which should respond to it's surroundings in a positive manner.
The documentation required as a backing for the ultimate result - the proposal, began late in the month of September itself under the guidance of Professor Harshwardhan Nagpure, and Professor Veepa Jariwala and witnessed an open house jury on 10th of February 2014 at I.D.E.A.S., Nagpur by Mr. Raj Waswani, a prominent architect from Indore. The jury was witnessed by students belonging to other batches as well and had a great response.
The juror, Mr. Raj Waswani was assisted by Professor Harshwardhan Nagpure, Professor Veepa Jariwala, and the H.O.D., Mr. Milind Gujarkar, prof. Ketan Sir and Harshal Sir

The ethos on which every civilization, culture or era is based. They are considered as the soul of civilization, culture or era. In simple terms, these form the essence of human life and its existence. Essence is due to the presence of emotions in human. Emotions, if described are psychophysiological expressions, biological reactions, and mental states or in simple terms emotions can be the moods, the feelings and the expressions one experience at respective instants of life. The emotions are also called as Rasa (Sanskrit: रस : 'essence') denotes an essential mental state and it is the dominant emotional theme of a work of art or the primary feeling that is evoked in the person that views, reads or hears such work.
